Respect for Copyright

Hegep respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. We will respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with applicable law. This policy describes our DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act) takedown notice procedure.

Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice

If you believe that content hosted on Hegep infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA takedown notice. Your notice must include the following information:

  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed
  • Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, with sufficient detail to locate it on our website (including the full URL)

  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  • A statement that the information in the notification is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner

We will review your notice and respond within a reasonable timeframe. Please allow 5-10 business days for a response.

Counter-Notification

If you believe that your content was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification. Your counter-notification must include:

  • Your physical or electronic signature
  • Identification of the material that has been removed or disabled, and the location at which the material appeared before it was removed or disabled
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification
  • Your name, address, and telephone number
  • A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located, or if your address is outside the United States, for the judicial district in which Hegep may be found, and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original notification

Repeat Infringers

Hegep reserves the right to disable or terminate accounts of users who repeatedly infringe upon the copyrights of others.

Good Faith Effort

We make a good faith effort to verify the validity of DMCA takedown notices. However, we are not in a position to determine the merits of copyright claims. We encourage copyright owners to consult with legal counsel before filing takedown notices.

Third-Party Games

Many games on Hegep are developed and hosted by third parties. If you believe a third-party game infringes your copyright, please contact us and we will forward your notice to the appropriate developer. We will also remove access to the game from our site pending resolution of the dispute.

We reserve the right to modify this DMCA policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of the site following the posting of changes constitutes your acceptance of such changes.
